Digital vs. Linear Foot Controls

Description

When referencing the word ‘digital’ as a characteristic of a foot control it simply means an on/off actuation. The digital on/off actuation of a foot pedal can be either a momentary actuation (step on, foot presses down to activate the pedal) or a maintained actuation (step on to actuate and remove foot, step on again and remove foot to turn off). Mechanical or Electronic lockouts are possible with digital foot controls to prevent the user from operating more than one pedal at a time on multi-pedal models.
